Engagement Call
A simple first conversation to decide what kind of help you actually need.
A simple first conversation to decide what kind of help you actually need.
Not every issue needs a deep diagnostic. Sometimes the right answer is a short discovery engagement, sometimes a recovery intervention, and sometimes no external help at all. This call helps identify the right path without pushing you into an engagement that is bigger than the problem warrants.
It is designed for leads who are not yet sure what they need, or who have reviewed the diagnostics and want a direct conversation before committing to a next step.
This is Step 2 of our standard engagement sequence - taken after the Velocity Readiness Survey or Constraints Briefing, and before any paid engagement begins. It is a deep-dive discovery conversation, not a sales call.
If you need to validate constraints before committing to a programme
If you need a structured investigation and roadmap
If you already know what needs to happen and need senior execution support
If the business needs embedded senior capability on a part-time basis
If a live programme is at risk and needs rapid stabilisation
If independent assessment suggests no external intervention is currently warranted

The engagement call is a focused 45-minute conversation with a senior partner. We ask about your business, the situation you are facing, and what you are hoping to achieve. You will get an honest view on whether we can help and what the right next step looks like - not a sales pitch.
No. The initial engagement call is complimentary. We do not charge for initial conversations and there is no obligation to proceed.
A named senior partner takes the call - not a business development manager or account executive. The person you speak to first is the person who would lead any subsequent work.
No formal preparation is required. It helps to have a clear sense of the situation you want to discuss - but we are used to working with clients who are still forming their view of the problem. The call itself often helps clarify thinking.
Any situation where you are facing an operational, technology, or transformation challenge that you are not sure how to approach. Common triggers include a programme that is not delivering, a technology decision you need to make, a leadership gap, or a board or investor asking questions you cannot yet fully answer.
If there is a clear fit, we will follow up within 24 hours with a proposed next step - typically a brief proposal for a scoping exercise or diagnostic. If we are not the right fit, we will say so and point you in the right direction.
Yes. Some clients bring their CFO, CTO, or chair to the initial call. The format is informal and conversational, so the more people who can contribute context, the better the conversation.
We typically offer slots within two to three working days. If your situation is urgent, contact us directly and we will prioritise.
Our primary focus is UK-based businesses, but we work with international businesses that have significant UK operations or a UK-based leadership team. Discuss your situation on the call and we will give you an honest view.
That is a perfectly reasonable thing to explore on the call. We will give you an honest assessment of whether external support is warranted, what type of support makes sense, and whether there are lower-cost alternatives worth considering first.
